1. Parken Zoo

If you visit Eskilstuna with kids Parken Zoo is defintly a must. Enjoy exotic animals, spinning carousels and cooling baths.

2. Eskilstuna city museum

Experience the history and development of the city of Eskilstuna. The exhibition "Lilla stadsmuseet" takes children on a playful journey through time. The museum is also a paradise for steam enthusiasts.

3. The castles that fosters fantasy

At 17th century Sundbyholms castle you will eat well as you enjoy a romantic weekend stay with your loved one. Stora Sundby castle, often referred to as the fairytale castle, with its origins in the middle ages, has a lovely summer café and beautiful park with deer enclosures.

4. World famous runic carvings

Close by Sundbyholm castle lies the thousand year-old rune carving - the "Sigurdsristningen". It shows scenes from the saga of Sigurd Fafnesbane, which was amongst the inspirations for Tolkien's "Lord of the Rings".

5. The Old town

In Eskilstuna's historic old own centre there are beautiful buildings, shops and cosy cafes. Visit the Old theatre and the listed building Tingsgården that is a cosy café by the river.
