Mälardalsleden bicycle trail

Mälardalsleden, named after the region surrounding Lake Mälaren, is a cycling trail rounding the lake. The trail passes through Eskilstuna, Torshälla and Sundbyholm.

An easy trail to cycle

The 440 kilometres long cycling trail is for the most part easy to get through, and the trail is marked with the signs of a white bicycle on a red background.

Mälardalsleden is the oldest official cycling trail for tourists in Sweden, being the first of its kind when it was introduced in 1980/81. A map of Mälardalsleden is available for purchase at the Swedish cycling society’s (Svenska cykelsällskapet) webshop down below.
